What Sundays were made for...

Last weekend marked the start of our first half term so we wanted to embark on some adventures to make it a week to remember of family fun. After a lazy day at home on Saturday letting the girls get out every toy they own we were all ready for some fresh air on Sunday and we had a day jam packed with adventures!

First stop was to go find the perfect pumpkin.

Then it was off to the Pine Woods for a spot of Gruffalo hunting of course...

And although the weather was making all sorts of threats V would never have forgiven us if we hadn't ventured onto the beach...

After a day full of adventures we were lucky enough to be invited for Sunday dinner at Grandma and Grandad's, but there was just enough time before for a quick trip to the pub while the children played at their other grandparents. What bliss to open the Sunday papers before 9pm!

When it was time for dinner there were empty plates all round, Grandad's roast dinners are legendary for very good reason...

Bedtime was a breeze with two exhausted little girls eager to hit the pillow in plenty of time for Mummy and Daddy to settle down to watch Homeland with a glass of fizz...

Such a perfect autumn day, now that's what Sundays were made for!
