Confessions of a Secret Celebrity Big Brother Addict

I have always really quite prided myself on not watching Reality TV so I cannot quite believe that I am writing this post. But tonight is the final of this years Celebrity Big Brother and I find myself part over excited to watch the final instalment and discover the victor (Rylan obviously) and part quite gutted because what on earth am I going to do with that 10-12 slot in my evenings?!

I have not watched Big Brother since the first series with Nasty Nick and winner Craig the builder, and then I obviously only did so for the 'social experiment' aspect. Even then I hardly watched actual evictions as they cut into my Friday night out time! I never watched any of the Peter/Jordan/Kerry Katona reality shows. When my sister raved on about The Hills I tuned in and felt like I was watching paint dry. I swear I hadn't even heard of Towie until I wondered where all this weird new vocab had sprung from and by then they all had their own spin off projects.

So how have I ended up here? I think I fell into it by accident. One night of channel hopping lingering on channel 5 out of curiosity as to who was going into the house. The next night switching it on as I sat up with the teething baby. The night after turning it on to keep me company as the husband went to bed with the teething baby. The night after that tuning in to see if Speidi really were that mean. I was hooked.

And don't get me started on Celeb Big Brothers bit on the side. I started watching to see what Emma Willis was wearing and coo over her hair (How is somebody with 2 kids and 2 jobs so impeccably groomed and so full of life and so gorgeous and still so likeable?!) (Yes I want to be her) Then I realised I was actually eager to see their exclusives and quite enjoyed the c list celeb panels mulling over events in the house. I am beyond hope.

So for tonight night I have drinks and snacks planned for the grand finale. I have no idea what I'll be doing without my CBB fix after that. Maybe I'll trawl MTV for re-runs of The Hills (Probably. I need to know what Speidi were like before. I've already read up on all Heidi's surgeries) Maybe I'll buy some Towie box sets (I won't. I promise. My husband would file for divorce) Maybe I'll get my hair cut back into a bob and do Zumba on the Kinect every night until I can fit into anything like the outfits that Emma Willis wore on CBBBOTS and pretend I am as cool a mum as her. (YES to the hair. I hope to the Zumba. I wish to the outfits. As for the coolness see all of the above) I think you know the answer.
